Therapy

Therapy is the central thread that weaves together all that I offer. For over 15 years I have practiced in a variety of public and private organizations while keeping up with the latest evidenced-based modalities. Our sessions will help you reclaim what has been lost or forgotten by living within systems and environments that generate distress. With careful and collaborative tending, we can transform painful experiences into opportunities to awaken something deeper within.

Trauma, depression, and anxiety take many forms with origins ranging from a single event to multigenerational transmission. All can lead to feeling as if you are constantly in survival mode, tense, and on guard. My therapeutic approach combines mindfulness, transpersonal psychotherapy, parts work, trauma-informed somatic therapy and nature-based healing. Together, we will expand your capacity for growth by identifying and embracing alignments as well as learning to stay curious through misalignments. I invite you to practice being an imperfectionist. I am not here to answer life’s questions for you, but I will empower you to tune in deeply to the wisdom held within.

Existential Immersions

Woven into my therapeutic approach, I offer a selection of immersive experiences designed to focus deeply on existential topics. These sessions, described below, are most beneficial when scheduled as an add-on to our standard therapy time. Because they are longer and require a more mindful commitment, the insights you derive will take intentional effort to integrate into your daily life—which, in turn, expands and accelerates our therapeutic work together.

Rates

My rate reflects my commitment to working with only a handful of people at a time. This allows me to provide mindful attention to each person's unique needs, maintain flexibility when appropriate, and collaborate with other providers when coordination of care is beneficial.

A sliding scale is available, just ask if you need financial support. While I do not accept insurance, a Superbill can be provided to request reimbursement.

Free consultation (25 min)

Sessions are billed at a rate of $200 per hour and so a standard 45-minute session is $150

Ketamine Assisted Therapy includes added expenses to cover psychiatrist and nurse fees.

Testimonials

“If you are reading this and wondering if Angie might be the right fit for you, let me tell you, you have found someone very good at their job. Angie is a remarkable therapist. My work with Angie was transformative. Before seeing Angie for ketamine assisted therapy, I had done a lot of deep work. I had been in intense cognitive therapy for up to 3 times a week for 5 years. And before that, 10 years of off and on therapy. What brought me to my ketamine journey was a recognition of unhealthy cycles that I noticed in myself that kept showing up in a new relationship I was in. My anxious attachment style had never been so clear and I knew I needed help to get to the root of my issues. I was so frustrated because of all of the work that I had previously done, I thought I was past this stuff. I was surprised that my old patterns that I thought had been healed, were still dictating my life. I could feel the trauma in my body bubbling over. I felt overwhelmed by my own emotions and was desperate for help.

Angie provided a safe space in a loving container. Immediately upon meeting Angie I felt supported and cared for and completely trusted her. Because of how much I trusted Angie and how much she trusted the process of ketamine assisted therapy I knew I was in the right place with the right therapist. My six week ketamine journey with Angie was life changing. Whatever came up we processed together. I never knew how much pain and grief were stored in my body until I went through these treatments. The ketamine seemed to soften my pain and created a container for my grief. I cried and felt so much, so deeply, during this process of unraveling. I believe that 42 years of trauma and pain was released during our work together. It was a courageous, painful, beautiful and deeply humbling process. When I was terrified of my own feelings Angie was there to comfort me and explain that the medicine was doing exactly what it was supposed to be doing on me. Because of her trust in the process, I trusted the process, even in all of its pain.

I now strongly believe that, no matter how much cognitive work we do on ourselves we need more help than that in order to truly release trauma from our bodies. My nervous system is more at ease now, and I am more at peace in my body and my life. I know myself on a much deeper and more intimate level. I trust that the next relationship I choose to be in will be very different than the previous one that brought up so much pain for me. During my treatments, I also became more committed to my meditation and spiritual practices, which is a huge continuous gift from this work. I’m more comfortable with going inside now that my pain has shifted and softened. I know that life will continue to bring painful situation’s to me, and I strongly believe that I will be able to handle them in a more productive and healthy way. I’m no longer scared of my own emotions and can access feelings in a much more authentic way. Angie was imperative in this process and I am forever grateful for her work.”

“Working with Angie helped reveal my blind spots. I avoided therapy and coaching until I couldn’t anymore when the stress of being a manager brought up things that were hard to face. It made me realize that my tendency to avoid things was impacting how I interacted with my coworkers. I now believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, even when things are going well.”

“I had the absolute privilege of having Angie as my manager and mentor for over 3 years. She leads with integrity, empathy, and an eagerness to grow, making sure to push her team to realize their full potential just as she pushes herself to do the same. Her clinical background, data-driven approach to strategy and organization, and her keen awareness of the needs of the people and environments around her make Angie a great leader and advocate.”

-Romi S.

Angie is incredibly kind and considerate In her nature. She has a major passion for mental wellness and her knowledge spans across many different areas. She clearly works hard to stay informed about both traditional and modern psychology and is able to integrate them both to meet the needs of everyone she works with.”
